Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong

Distance: 100 km | Travel Time: 3–4 hours

Highlights:

▸ Pickup from Guwahati Airport.

▸ Scenic drive through lush hills and winding mountain roads.

▸ Stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake for photographs.

▸ Visit Don Bosco Museum (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Visit Ward’s Lake for a peaceful walk.

▸ Evening free at Police Bazar for shopping and cafés (Closed on Sunday).

Stay: Overnight in Shillong.




Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunji

Distance: 55 km | Travel Time: 2–3 hours

Highlights:

▸ Visit Lyngksiar Falls & Prut Falls.

▸ Visit Wei Sawdong Falls.

▸ Explore the limestone formations of Mawsmai Caves.

▸ Visit the majestic Seven Sisters Falls.

▸ Witness the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls (if time permits or next morning).

Stay: Overnight in Cherrapunji.




Day 3: Cherrapunji – Leisure & Nature Exploration

Distance: Local sightseeing

Option 1: Trekking (For Physically Fit Travellers)

▸ Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek (Approx. 3,500 steps from parking – Closed on Sunday).

▸ Visit Blue Lagoon & Rainbow Falls (1,000–1,500 additional steps one side from the bridge).


Option 2: Leisure (No Trek)

▸ Visit Eco Park.

▸ Explore Arwah Caves.

▸ Visit the scenic Garden of Caves.

▸ Visit Wah Kaba Falls.

Stay: Overnight in Cherrapunji.




Day 4: Cherrapunji to Dawki via Mawlynnong

Distance: 85 km | Travel Time: 4–5 hours

Highlights:

▸ Visit the majestic Kynrem Falls.

▸ Drive through scenic valleys to Mawlynnong, Asia’s Cleanest Village (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Walk to the Single Root Bridge at Riwai village.

▸ Continue the journey to Dawki, famous for the crystal-clear Umngot River.

▸ Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River (subject to weather & water conditions).

Note: If the stay is in Mawlynnong or Pongtung, Dawki sightseeing will be covered on Day 5.

Stay: Overnight in Mawlynnong / Pongtung / Dawki.




Day 5: Dawki to Shillong via Jowai

Distance: 210 km | Travel Time: 7–8 hours

Highlights:

▸ Visit the stunning Krang Suri Falls, known for its turquoise blue waters.

▸ Visit Laitlum Canyons for panoramic valley views.

Stay: Overnight in Shillong.




Day 6: Shillong to Guwahati (Departure)

Distance: 110 km | Travel Time: 3–4 hours

▸ Early morning departure from Shillong.

▸ Visit Kamakhya Temple (subject to queue & time availability).
