Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong

Distance: 100 km | Travel Time: 3–4 hours

Highlights:

▸ Pickup from Guwahati Airport / Railway Station.

▸ Scenic drive through lush hills and winding mountain roads.

▸ Stop at Umiam Lake for photographs.

▸ Visit Don Bosco Museum (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Visit Ward’s Lake for a peaceful walk.

▸ Evening free at Police Bazar for shopping and cafés (Closed on Sunday).

Stay: Overnight in Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunji

Distance: 55 km | Travel Time: 2–3 hours

Highlights:

▸ Drive to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth.

▸ Visit Laitlum Canyons.

▸ Visit Wei Sawdong Falls.

▸ Visit Mawsmai Caves.

▸ Visit Seven Sister Falls.

▸ Witness the majestic Nohkalikai Falls.

Note: Waterfall flow is seasonal. During dry months, waterfalls may have little or no water.

Day 3: Cherrapunji – Leisure & Nature Exploration

Distance: Local Sightseeing

Option 1: Trekking (For Physically Fit Travellers)

▸ Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek (approx. 3,500 steps from parking) (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Visit Blue Lagoon.

▸ Visit Rainbow Falls (1,000–1,500 additional steps one side from Double Decker Bridge).

Option 2: Leisure (No Trek)

▸ Visit Eco Park.

▸ Visit Arwah Caves.

▸ Visit Garden of Caves.

▸ Visit Umkar Living Root Bridge.

Stay: Overnight in Cherrapunji.

Day 4: Cherrapunji to Dawki via Mawlynnong

Distance: 85 km | Travel Time: 4–5 hours

Highlights:

▸ Drive through scenic valleys to Mawlynnong, known as Asia’s Cleanest Village (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Walk across the Single Root Bridge in Riwai and explore the village.

▸ Continue to Dawki, famous for its crystal-clear Umngot River.

▸ Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River and witness its transparent waters.

Note: If the stay is in Mawlynnong or Pongtung, Dawki sightseeing will be covered on Day 5.

Stay: Overnight in Mawlynnong / Pongtung / Dawki.

Day 5: Dawki to Shillong via Jowai & Shnongpdeng

Distance: 210 km | Travel Time: 7–8 hours

Highlights:

▸ Visit Shnongpdeng for riverside activities.

▸ Visit Krang Suri Falls, known for its stunning turquoise waters.

▸ Visit Phe Phe Falls (if open; requires approx. 30-minute walk).

Stay: Overnight in Shillong.

Day 6: Shillong to Kaziranga

Distance: 265 km | Travel Time: 5–6 hours

▸ Scenic drive through Assam’s tea gardens and countryside.

▸ Arrival in Kaziranga by afternoon.

▸ Visit Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park in the evening.

Day 7: Kaziranga Safari & Drop at Guwahati via Kamakhya Temple

Distance: 200 km | Travel Time: 4–5 hours
