Day 1: Guwahati to Kaziranga

Distance: Approx. 220 km | Travel Time: 4–5 Hours

Highlights:

▸ Early morning pickup from Guwahati Airport / Railway Station.

▸ Visit Kamakhya Temple.

▸ Scenic drive towards Kaziranga National Park.

▸ Visit Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park.

Stay: Overnight in Kaziranga.



Day 2: Kaziranga to Shillong

Distance: Approx. 267 km | Travel Time: 5–6 Hours

Highlights:

▸ Early morning Jeep Safari in Kaziranga National Park.

▸ Spot the famous One-Horned Rhinoceros, wild elephants, deer, and bird species.

▸ Post breakfast, drive towards Shillong.

▸ Stop at Umiam Lake for photographs.

Stay: Overnight in Shillong.



Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunji

Distance: 55 km | Travel Time: 2–3 Hours

Highlights:

▸ Drive to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on earth.

▸ Visit Laitlum Canyons.

▸ Visit Wei Sawdong Falls.

▸ Explore Mawsmai Caves.

▸ Visit Seven Sisters Falls.

▸ Witness the majestic Nohkalikai Falls.

(Note: Waterfall flow is seasonal. During dry months, the waterfall may have little or no water.)

Stay: Overnight in Cherrapunji.



Day 4: Cherrapunji – Leisure & Nature Exploration

Distance: Local sightseeing

Highlights:

Option 1 (Trekking – For physically fit travellers):
▸ Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek (3,500 steps from the parking) (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Blue Lagoon & Rainbow Falls (1,000–1,500 steps from the Double Decker Root Bridge – one side).


Option 2 (Leisure – No Trek):
▸ Visit Eco Park.

▸ Visit Arwah Caves.

▸ Visit the Garden of Caves.

▸ Visit Umkar Living Root Bridge.

Stay: Overnight in Cherrapunji.



Day 5: Cherrapunji to Dawki via Mawlynnong

Distance: 85 km | Travel Time: 4–5 Hours

Highlights:

▸ Drive through scenic valleys to Mawlynnong, known as Asia’s Cleanest Village (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Walk across the Single Root Bridge in Riwai and enjoy the village’s serene beauty.

▸ Continue the journey to Dawki, famous for its crystal-clear Umngot River.

▸ Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River and witness the transparent water.

(Note: If stay is in Mawlynnong or Pongtung, Dawki will be covered the next day.)

Stay: Overnight in Mawlynnong / Pongtung / Dawki.



Day 6: Dawki to Shillong via Jowai & Shnongpdeng

Distance: 210 km | Travel Time: 7–8 Hours

Highlights:

▸ Visit Shnongpdeng for adventure activities.

▸ Visit the stunning Krang Suri Falls, known for its turquoise waters.

▸ Visit Phe Phe Falls (If open – approximately 30 minutes walk required).

Stay: Overnight in Shillong.



Day 7: Shillong to Guwahati

Distance: 100 km | Travel Time: 3–4 Hours

▸ Scenic drive through lush hills and winding mountain roads.

▸ Visit Don Bosco Museum (Closed on Sunday).

▸ Visit Ward’s Lake for a peaceful walk.
